Lawrence Alcera has been training people in the South Bay Area for over 16 years. Helping hundreds of people realize their full potential in getting in shape and getting back to health. A certified trainer in NCCPT (formally FUTUREFIT by John Platero), Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (now owned by NASM), Bally Certified trainer in kickboxing, stretch and personal trainer.
Mr. Alcera has also trained in martial arts since he was 14, competed in numerous tournaments, and earned his black belt in Taekwondo before switching over to IMB Academy under Richard Bustillo and completing Phase 1 and Phase 2 courses, including training in various styles such as Jeet Kune Do, boxing, Muay Thai kickboxing and Kali. Lawrence also studied Brazilian Jiu-jitsu and currently has a 3 stripe blue belt (forever blue). He trained under welterweight champion Ed Wedding in Muay Thai and received his Kickboxing instructorship from 3 time world kickboxing champion Sifu Rod Kei, from whom he now holds a yellow belt in Judo. Whew!
Lawrence also competed in the California State Championships, earned a silver medal, and qualified for the Olympic trials. His amateur fight record in both kickboxing and MMA is 9 wins, 5 losses, 4 KO’s and 2 subs. His last competition was Grapplers Quest and he received a bronze.
